About Roma

Roma Murphy is a comedy writer working across age ranges in animation. She loves to find comedic spins on familiar genres and tropes, whether that means full-on parody or just goofy sitcom premises in sci-fi/fantasy worlds. As a quadruple pronged diversity hire, she finds herself writing for the outsiders and the weirdos trying desperately to fit in (and learning that they don’t have to).

She’s worked in shortform digital content and traditional 11-minute shows in the comedy/genre space for preschool, 6-11, and YA audiences. She is available for freelance, development, and staffing opportunities.
